Editorial Guidelines: How We Research & Review
Last updated: August 6, 2026
This page explains exactly how EVs Mirror puts together its buying guides, comparisons, and reviews — what sources we use, how we keep information current, and how we keep our recommendations independent of our affiliate relationships.
Our Research Process
Every guide, comparison, and review on EVs Mirror is built from publicly available, verifiable sources: manufacturer specification sheets and press materials, official government incentive and tax-credit databases, published pricing, and third-party range/charging data where available. We do not rely on a single source for figures that affect a buying decision — range, price, and incentive figures are cross-checked against at least one official source before publication.
Comparison & Rating Methodology
When we compare vehicles or accessories, we apply the same fixed set of criteria every time: purchase price and total cost of ownership, real-world range and efficiency, charging speed and compatibility, warranty coverage, and available incentives. We do not vary our criteria to favor a particular brand, and a product’s affiliate-program status has no bearing on how it scores.
Update & Freshness Policy
EV pricing, incentive rules, and specifications change frequently. Articles display a “Last updated” date, and time-sensitive content — tax credits, pricing, incentive deadlines — is prioritized for re-verification. If you find outdated information, please use the correction process below; we act on verified reports quickly.
Editorial Independence
EVs Mirror earns revenue through affiliate commissions and, where present, advertising — see our full Affiliate Disclosure. Editorial decisions (what to cover, how a product is scored, what we recommend) are made independently of whether a brand or retailer has an affiliate relationship with us. No brand can pay for a better review, a higher ranking, or inclusion in a guide.
Corrections Policy
We aim for accuracy, but EV specifications and incentive rules move fast, and mistakes happen. If you spot an error, email us at hello@evsmirror.com with the article link and the correction — we review and correct verified errors promptly, and note material corrections on the article itself.
